Designs

For this article I used Adobe Illustrator, to demonstrate my design skills and ability to effectively communicate information. The assignment was to plan, design, and produce a newsletter that serves a specific purpose and audience. I chose to make a newsletter whose audience were people of color in the gaming community. My inspiration was Game Informer. This is a love letter to video games and the relationships I've gained through the community.

I created this assignment using Adobe Indesign. I worked with a non-profit organization that held personal significance to me. I planned an event for them and created an event invitation.

 

By diving into their mission statement, values, and impact of the chosen organization,

I designed the invitation to be accessible to all attendees.

Every April the Campus Activities and Traditions department celebrate PAWsitive Bearkat month to foster optimism, support, and help at Sam Houston State University.

 

I copywrote this project and my department graphic designer, Nakiem Poole, created the design. The design quickly gained popularity around campus. The first sticker was the first to sell out against other designs.
